Case Study House 23A

This house, which was a part of a group of homes called the Triad, was a pilot project built as a test for future homes in San Diego, California. Case Study House 23A was designed by Edward Killingsworth, Jules Brady, and Waugh Smith in 1960 with a mid-century modern style. It was the largest building in the Triad, and the only one that ended up being built. The goal of the Triad was to create a cluster of homes that were close enough to form an intimate relationship while still maintaining privacy. These drawings were created based on the original blueprints for the house as a way to study the design.
